Public Accounting Firm is looking for a Controller with 6-10+ years accounting / bookkeeping experience. This position will manage relationships with 10-20 clients as strategic partner.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy, timeliness and quality of all financial reporting to include monthly financial statements with footnotes for all clients.
• Work with Staff Accountant and Data Entry Clerk to verify all bills are paid appropriately.
• Responsible for interpreting / explaining and correct accounting problems.
• Reconcile bank, credit card and other statements.
• Work with senior management to review strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for our client.
• Analyze clients’ staff levels and work flow in order to make strategic recommendations.
• Implement monthly close out procedures.
• Business Development to include specific sales and marketing targets.
Qualifications and Requirements:

• 6-10+ years of accounting experience
• Public accounting experience required; Private accounting highly preferred
• Minimum of a BS in Accounting and preferably, working towards or are a CPA.
• Masters in Accounting or Finance highly preferred
• Expert in QuickBooks.
• Experience with additional accounting software (MAS 90/200, Peachtree, etc.) is a plus.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and other office software.
• Able to work within a deadline oriented environment.
• Self motivated and exhibit a high degree of creativity.
• Insured and reliable means of transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Please expect some travel.
