Purchasing Associate needed for a 4-6 week contract position while our team member is on medical leave. Great working environment and located in Sorrento Valley.
Job Description:
· Sourcing and purchasing of both major and minor materials including computer software and hardware. Occasionally, office furniture as well.
· Assistance with Deltek (government accounting software) maintenance of fixed assets (not a requirement)
· Maintenance of fixed asset movement based on forms provided by systems
· Creation of Visio flowcharts of policies and procedures
· Assistance of inventory maintenance and reconciliations
· Assistance in office management duties
· Coordination with vendors as necessary for invoice corrections and RMA's for items under warranty
· Performance of general office duties such as copying and filing
· Coordination with vendors for timely arrivals
· Coordination of vendor and interoffice meetings
· Pursuit of license keys from vendors for older software that was not previously documented
· Assistance of administrative assistant in booking travel
· Assistance of administrative assistant in placing Costco, Staples, and Sam's orders
· Maintenance of spreadsheets that include:
Ø Purchase orders including ETA and delivery confirmation
Ø Software licenses
Ø Small business spend
Ø Competitive bid analysis
Ø Customer property spreadsheets in preparation for close outs
Experience
· Minimum 2+ Years purchasing experience
· Bachelors Degree preferred but not required
· Proficient with Excel and Spreadsheets
· Visio software highly preferred by not required
